I had such an enjoyable time today, with this bunch of playful boys. They were a handful at first, but they were subdued by me..MUHAHA..no seriously, I'm so proud of them, even though they didn't win the race. They are so amusing and adorable. JunYang just cracks me up. Guess what that boy told his friends about me..? " cher bought a big bowl of food but HE only ate 3 mouths..waste food! So...what's the moral of the story..ONLY EAT 3 MOUTHS!" haha.. It's so difficult to get angry with them...however, I really hope they learnt something today, other than to tease me..:P
Whew..it's been a busy week..I'm already interning with Trybe! It's so fun and there's really so much to learn. Plus, I get to be inspired by more godly-like people.:D

J.A.M Night
Yeah! It's finally our first youth night. Know what does J.A.M stands for? It's actually Jesus and Me! It felt great, having another youth session after so long. I'm so glad that we're having something like interactive again..a time to worship and learn, about youths, for youths.


Shi Yun, Rhyss & Sam: Thanks girls, for being willing to join me for this. I'm so glad that you enjoyed yourself. I felt so blessed with your presence. Join me next month ya?:D

I've been watching ' Hikmah' these few days, getting to learn more malay words. I'm so amazed by Ana's faith and kindness. I want to be like her, but towards my own God, of course. :)

Taekwondo training was tiring! I had to spar with so many seniors because Sir wanted me to learn and thus, be able to pass my black belt grading. Obviously, I ended up being kicked all over. I think I improved though. I can't wait to become a better fighter!:D

'Step Up 2''s amazing! It's really worth watching. I'm so gonna get the dvds of both 'Step Up' & 'Step Up 2'. Anyway, today's movie outing was with Khalis and her bunch of strangers, yet again..:S

Teaching the kids taekwondo was much better today. I think I'm getting the hang of it. Haha. Sir gave a talk about the power of dreaming taekwondo..exactly what Taufiq said when I first joined hockey..The power of dreaming something and fulfilling it..:D

Anyway, I never knew that Uni applications can be so difficult and troublesome. I'm just only done with one application and it's already driving me crazy. Thank God for great peeps who's willing to help me read and edit my essays/statement of purpose. It became so much easier with their help, but still, I just want to get this entire thing over and done with...

On a happier note, I'm looking into an internship with Trybe. Hopefully, everything can work out fine. It's definitely gonna be so meaningful and interesting...:D

Friday

I've got my results today. I'm an all-rounder, have got all the passing grades, from A-E. Haha. Ms Kon said I'm borderline. So I can still try for both NUS and NTU. Hopefully, my GP can pull me up. Anyway, I thank God for everything and of course, I'll eventually leave everything to Him. If it's according to Him, it will be. It's much more comforting to think of it that way, especially since I know everything will fall into place in the end. :)

Anyway, as I was buying my dinner, this guy around our age came along. As I was standing there, I listened to the way he was trying to get his order across to the stallholder in his broken Mandarin, with a mixture of Hokkien and English. That was then I realised how retarded we sound with our distorted Mandarin, especially when we can't pronounce most phrases properly. No offence to that guy, but I seriously think we should reflect and change that mindset about not wanting to learn Mandarin properly just because we think we sound more sophiscated speaking English. I can understand if it's required of us, or it's because of our family background. But definitely, I disapprove of the fact that we should hate Mandarin and not think of it as important, because it's after all, our mother tongue. The difference's there. Wow. What a realisation for me today. Interesting...
It was a good week for me, catching up with friends.:D

Monday

Met up with Uncle and Jackson to watch the Home United vs Gombak United match at Bishan Stadium. The final score : 3-3. It was fun, my first time watching a S League game. BUT...Lionel Lewis wasn't there! Disappointed. Btw, I think I saw Hariss Harun there too. After that, it was dinner at Boon Keng. I miss eating there with the SDI peeps. It was really nice talking to them again, especially Uncle. Hahaz. We're gonna meet up again next week, hopefully, for dinner at Hans River. Can't wait!:)

Wednesday

It was supposed to be a girls' day out for Khalis and me. Then, I was told that Min's coming along. Then, it turned out that G and Azfar joined us too. It's seriously the weirdest combination. We watched 'Fool's Gold'. I enjoyed the show, even got me thinking about history, like how interesting it is. Though the date wasn't what I had expected, but it's rather enjoyable. Besides, I got to catch up with Khalis too. Not too bad..:D

Then, I met up with Annalyn for dinner at Sakae Sushi. It was nice catching up with her. She's always so encouraging and trusting. Plus, she has so much faith. We even share the same views. Well, almost all. Haha. I'm just so glad that I've the chance to meet her. Thank God for this friend...:D

Thursday

Had lunch with Wan Hsin and Yimin. Can't believe that we're still keeping in touch after 2 years, meeting up almost every now and then. I'm so thankful that they're always willing to make the effort to meet up. Anyway, we ended up looking for jobs, going for interviews. It wasn't all pleasant and we turned down all the jobs eventually. Haha. It's funny how the day turned out.

Dinner's at Airport with Sam and Shi Yun. We finally get to meet up! Though it was a short dinner, but I liked the way we feel so comfortable around each other. I'm so glad we met up in the end.:D

I'm so exhausted..been a long day for me...

In the morning, I went to Girls' Brigade Centre to sit in for the coaching programme that Praise is doing with the officers. Seriously, I couldn't sleep well last night, just thinking about returning to the same place where there was a manifestation the previous time I was there for a camp. But I guess I was comforted by the prayer that Pastor Larry did for me during the Youth Retreat. Anyway, the coaching programme was really empowering and enriching. Never once did I ever have the thought of sleeping. It reinforces the training sessions that I've been through and at time same time, refreshes my memory about how to become a better and more effective coach. There were some things that really struck me...such as " The degree to which you're effective as a coach depends on your personal effectiveness.", "Don't let the grey areas in your life becomes someone else's grey area too." etc. It was really effective and useful for me, being able to share my experiences and also, learn from the experiences of other people. I'm so glad that I've made the decision to attend the programme today. I would have missed out on so much if I had decided to be lazy and just stay at home instead. Hahaz..:P

Then it was off to Khalis' birthday BBQ. Wow. It felt like as if she invited the whole world. Hahahz. I didn't hang around for long because my cousin's having his 21st birthday celebration too. Thus, I rushed home to see another big group of people...

Anyway..I seriously hope the whole terrorist thing's gonna be resolved soon. Oh! Edison Chen's issue too..people should seriously stop bugging him and get on with life. He has the right to his personal privacy too, even though I don't agree with what he did previously. But hey, he did apologised and he's the victim who has got his stuff stolen. So cut him some slack and leave him alone. That was random..haha..just felt like saying that. :D
