Just spoken to a close relative and realised that she's undergoing some issues in her life and she's feeling slightly affected by it all. I'm glad that I had agreed to pass something to her instead of being super lazy and insisting that she comes and get it from me. Otherwise, I would have never find out what had happened to her or speak to her about it. I hope that she'll have a good time during her trip overseas and be able to get the answers she needs.

Another close friend of mine's undergoing 'tremendous' stress in her life. She's exhausted physically and mentally, thinking herself to be on the brink of breakdown. I really don't know how to help her but it pains me to see both my relative and her in such situations. I really do hope that they will both feel better and more powered to handle their situations.

When situations like this arise, I will always think that I should have been more observant, more concerned about others so as to be able to be there for them. I don't want to always have to regret finding out a little too late, or from others when I'm supposedly closer to the affected parties. I'm saying this because I want whoever is reading this to work on this area in their lives if they find themselves in similar situations. Show constant concern to those you care about. Don't be so absorbed in your own life that you always assume that everyone's doing fine just because they happen to be smiling when you last saw them. Gosh, I really do need to work on doing this.

On a happier note, I've got myself a new penpal! I'm so excited! Can't wait to start exchanging letters! :)

  1. Hey, totally agree with your sentiment and I'm definitely guilty of this. What a timely post:)
